What does P-Bliss mean to you?
Peripheral Bliss to me is a platform for free musical expression. This group is special because it melds like minds in a therapeutic way to bring us all to a specific musical place. These connections are rare and I value them when they happen.

What is the philosophy behind your particular style of playing?
Non-verbal communication through moods and experimentation is what I strive for when playing. Weaving through time and space to create a beautiful picture.

What are some of your musical influences?
Tom Verlane, Japancakes, Eno, Bardo Pond, Godspeed, Robert Fripp, Chet Atkins, Wes Montgomery, Pink Floyd.

What role does music have in your life?
Everyone has a vibration some are louder that others or just don't have the right outlet. Music grabbed me early in life and has never let go. It touches every culture so I feel what we are doing is just a natural extension of what all humans have inside. The tools change as well as the sound, but the primary function is the same.

If you could play at any 1 venue in the world where would it be?
If I could play anywhere in the world with this group It would be in a large out door concert next to the great pyramids of Egypt.

If you could be re-incarnated as anything what would that be?
A cat

DEON

soft synths / drum machines / sound design

What are some of your musical influences?
Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors, various electronic artists and the Hathor

If you could eat any animal in the world what animal would it be?
Sasquatch

If you could play at any one venue in the world where would it be?
Easter Island....or in Sedona on top of a energy vortex.

What was your favorite area of study while enrolled in the Egyptian Mystery School?
Sound / Color / Geometric harmonic frequency relationship.

What is the philosophy behind your particular style of playing?
Sound vibration relates to different energy centers in the body. When playing - my goal is to harmonically tune into the different frequency cycles of the human energy field and gently manipulate them with different tonal structures and hypnotic rhythms. The result is a sympathetic resonant musical architecture around the energy centers.

If you could be re-incarnated as anything what would that be?
Something more evolved than a human....maybe a Dolphin, a Unicorn, or a Leprechaun.

What does P-Bliss mean to you?
P-Bliss is an ego-less venture that is dedicated to the harmonics of sound and the ability of that sound to unite, heal and manifest good intention.

BLAINE

synth / pads

What are some of your musical influences?
Everything I've ever heard.

If you could eat any animal in the world what animal would it be?
...a Dog; not just any Dog but that one Dog who's been feasting on the children! I'm sure he'll tast like Chicken anyway...

If you could play at any one venue in the world where would it be?
I'd like to setup in the middle of the standing stones with a little more reverb then necessary.

What was your favorite area of study while enrolled in the Egyptian Mystery School?
Soul Cube manufacturing and the Psi/Phi study of telekinetic artistry.

What is the philosophy behind your particular style of playing?
...not something you can dance to, but something you can fuck to.

What does P-Bliss mean to you?
It's the beauty you envision without looking directly at it... For to do so, would mean utter ruin.

MARK

video mixing

What does P-Bliss mean to you? There is a sacred place at the edge of perception where the individual components lose focus and the whole can finally be experienced. Am I hearing it? Am I making it up? Am I part of it?

What is the philosophy behind your particular style of playing?
I live for the happy accident. lack of planning leaves me open to apply mood and whim. listening to the live jam and gravitating into the zone detaches my technician and allows me to drive.

What are some of your musical influences?
Scopitones, Ethel Merman, Rush, the great blue heron.

What role does music have in your life? I ride along the water to the train station. tires thrum as peddles pump. tracks sing at the arrival drowning out recordings of foreign tongs droning and ignored. cacophony of humans crowded into vast machinery. electric hum like a lullaby.

If you could play at any one venue in the world where would it be?
The Sidney opera house looks nice from the outside. I'd like to project on the wall.

In the movie P-Bliss who would play you?
Defiantly Christopher Walken, pause. stop. rewind. I just said that because I'm such a big fan of Walken. I'm really not much like him, I'm less creepy and can't dance. I'm more like Christopher Lloyd, some where between the Taxi and Back to the Future days. For the movie, we'd have to dump the laptop and go commando with tons of VCRs and DVD players. All dials and fader cranks. he'd have to wear goggles. And a smock.

What was your favorite area of study while enrolled in the Egyptian Mystery School?
Pornoglyphic appreciation was my personal favorite.

If you could be re-incarnated as anything what would that be? Life is too rushed, coming back as a three-toed tree sloth was be a nice change of pace.
